Digital ELECTRA to be released in August

06 July 2020

Digital ELECTRA is in its final stages of testing and the first edition is on track for release in August. In parallel with the release, we will post on our LinkedIn and Twitter pages to notify members, as well as distribute an ELECTRA email to our database. We will also load notifications on our various digital platforms, including cigre.org and e-cigre.org.

Digital ELECTRA to be released in AugustFrom smartphone to desktop, the new digital magazine is multi-device capable, delivering our technology vision of one process, one system, all devices. This is coupled with an automated system that generates the content of selected parts or an entire ELECTRA as a PDF for printing or reading offline later. You will need to sign in to download these.

The August edition of ELECTRA will be open to everyone to view online, without the need to login. The October edition will have some added security, before we ultimately settle into our full member-accessed version from December onwards. If you are a member and have an e-cigre.org account, you can simply sign in using those details. If you are a member but don't have an e-cigre account, you will need your membership number. No need to worry, we will remind everyone of this before access becomes limited.

While the August edition is open to everyone, from October, if you are a non–member, you can subscribe to ELECTRA and keep up with what's going on in the world of CIGRE and the global power system.

Industry marketers will also find the new platform a prestigious and appealing place to grow their brand profile. Only a limited number of exclusive sponsorship opportunities are on offer.

While ELECTRA offers many exciting new features, rest assured it will continue with its hallmark, in-depth and substantial technical content. Whether you want to read an interesting article on Hydrogen’s potential from the global connections section, or keep up with CIGRE's latest technical brochures, you will find ELECTRA continues to offer the neutral, real world content, power systems professionals expect.
